Over the last decade, our world has been consumed by a wave of innovation and technological advancement, becoming more fast-paced and interconnected.

As a sci-fi fan and a technologist, I watch the tech advancement happening every day. For a time-saving purpose: I started following people and newsletters summarising the latest releases. Not because I am lazy but because every day, we hear about a new announcement of a more advanced, more sophisticated tech out there. And I don't wanna miss a thing… and probably this way, I can heal my FOMO. Most standard non-geeks don't even think about the rapid advancements - and they happen all around. This is also why I decided to stop for a second and write this article.

Why?

The advancements happen so rapidly that one could argue that we're nearing an era where "superhuman" is no longer just a concept confined to science fiction but a tangible reality we could soon embody.

The escalating sophistication of Generative AI and its instant adoption among different users is a testament to this imminent transformation.

This realm of technology, capable of producing original, meaningful outputs, is "digesting" the world at an astonishing rate. Just this week, I was amazed by Midjourney 5.1, able to generate a new background for Google Meet of a highly sophisticated interior design based on the billionaire home designs aligned with our band design… crazy, right?

From performing complex tasks to learning and evolving independently, the prowess of Generative AI is growing exponentially. There's no denying that the AI evolution has disrupted numerous jobs and industries. We may wonder how this above ^ will disrupt the interior design industry if it can generate photo-quality visuals of whatever you want. But simultaneously, it's also opened up new possibilities for technological exploration and innovation.

Midjourney has free and paid versions, it's public, you can touch it, and you can access it—no need to know the coding magic. You just need to properly form "prompts" ;)

This is where Neuralink, an ambitious venture spearheaded by Elon Musk's team, steps in. More than just an "interface", Neuralink is essentially a compact, intelligent chip designed to connect directly with the human brain. Its profound capabilities can potentially extend to reading thoughts with pinpoint accuracy and stimulating cognitive responses. This groundbreaking technology could completely redefine our understanding of human cognition and communication. The recent announcement by the FDA about being on the cusp of human trials signifies a giant leap in the field of neural technology.

As we witness these breathtaking advancements in AI, it's impossible to overlook the incredible strides in another potent field: Biotechnology. With applications spanning bio-informatics, bio-services, bio-agriculture, bio-industries, and bio-pharmacy, Biotech is experiencing an unprecedented boom. Particularly, bio-informatics is projected to surge at an impressive CAGR of 12.6% between 2022 and 2030.

A befitting illustration of the potential of Biotech is NovoDisk. This rapidly burgeoning Biotech firm is a trailblazer, pioneering R&D in numerous verticals and revolutionizing patient care. For instance, in Diabetes, they're exploring advanced technologies such as closed-loop insulin pumps and glucose-sensitive solutions that require only a single daily application.

The pressing question arises at this point: What happens when we intersect these revolutionary technologies?

Consider a future where we fuse the capabilities of Neuralink with a Generative AI interface, thereby enabling instant thought-based communication. Imagine having a private-cloud 'Neuranet' summarising your discussions with a.k.a. "Neurabot". Moreover, envision this Neuranet providing secure access to internet resources and accumulating knowledge in short-term and long-term memory. This Neurabot, powered by advanced Generative AI technologies like the LLaMa transformer, could directly pull necessary information and insights.

The confluence of AI and Biotech is more than just a convergence of two groundbreaking technologies. It signifies the dawn of a new age of superhuman abilities, transforming how we think, communicate, and live. This is not just about enhancing human capabilities but also about creating a more integrated and seamless user experience.

Indeed, the future is brimming with endless possibilities and intriguing challenges. As we advance further into this uncharted territory, the line between fiction and reality will blur, and the concept of superhuman may soon be a part of our everyday lives. And as technologists, our role is not only to witness this evolution but also to drive it forward, shaping a future that is as exciting as it is uncertain.
